The Live Easy Story
Nano Units
Live Easy was established seven years ago by Jeffrey Froom and James Huff with the concept of “nano units” – compact, self-contained living spaces, each equipped with a kitchenette and bathroom. These units are designed to provide comfortable, modern living with a starting rental amount of just R3 000 per month.
Our Rapid Expansion
Over the years, we’ve expanded our vision to include larger bachelor apartments across various buildings, with spacious bachelor apartments, cozy one bedrooms and even larger 2-bedroom apartments at specific Live Easy buildings across Gauteng. This ensures that we cater to every South African’s dream of living in the city while maintaining a healthy balance between paying rent and living comfortably on top of that.

Our focus is on impact housing, targeting underperforming real estate and repurposing it into vibrant, community-focused developments. By acquiring land and existing properties, we transform them into thriving spaces that meet the needs of our tenants while contributing to the broader goal of inclusive urban growth.

He's been instrumental in driving the company's growth and operational efficiency, establishing Live Easy as a leader in the affordable housing sector. His passion and expertise are evident in our commitment to creating sustainable and vibrant communities.
James
Founder
James has a diverse background in property, construction, and economics, having worked both in London and South Africa. Driven by the entrepreneurial bug, a passion for property, and the need for sustainable affordable housing, he co-founded Live Easy to realise a goal of providing this much needed asset class in South Africa. James drives the development initiatives, from project conceptualisation through to their coordination and delivery.
